Joey and Devra got engaged earlier this year in their native California. When I met up with them in Chicago in May, they had asked me to do a couple shoot with them, which would showcase the urban character of Chicago, which is so different from their home in San Francisco.
The first thing we did, was get on the infamous ‘El’, the elevated train, which like an arterial system brings thousands of commuters and visitors to the beating heart of the city, the ‘Loop’. After exploring downtown with its magnificent architecture, we had cocktails and tacos at the ever so stylish Chicago Athletic Association.
We finished the day off by returning to the leafy neighbourhood of Lincoln Park, away from the hustle and bustle of the designer shops on Michigan Avenue.
