An Elegant Spring Wedding

An Elegant Spring Wedding

When April came around this year it was time for Gillian’s and Murrays super elegant spring wedding. From the outset Gillian and Murray were very clear that the main focus of the day was going to be the party with their friends and family. Many of their friends were going to travel from as far as Australia to be with them on their special day. So it was really important to Gillian and Murray that the photographer would take lots of candids on the day.

Gillian and Murray had chosen the Macdonald Houston House as the venue for their wedding. This venue perfectly suited the elegant and understated theme of their wedding. The room for the actual wedding service looked fantastic. Staff at the venue were extremely professional when turning the room around for the evening reception. With the candelabras on the tables and the beautiful table decorations the evening reception room looked fabulous.

Most importantly however the day turned out to be the fun wedding party that Gillian and Murray had hoped for. Their Australian guests loved the fact that the men in true Scottish tradition all wore kilts. Nobody was even in the slightest bit bothered by the Scottish weather. Everybody just shrugged off the rain which started during the group shots. I think the many photos of laughing and happy people are a testament to the atmosphere on the day.

When I had finished the edits for this wedding, I was really pleased with the images. Whimsical Wonderland Weddings  must have felt the same, as they kindly agreed to feature this wedding in August this year. So rather than including a gallery on this blogpost, I decided to just post the link to the lovely Whimsical Wonderland Weddings blog.

In the blog post you will find more images from the day. It also gives you the key suppliers for this wedding. Please click the image below.
