Doorstep Family Portrait Shoot

A Lovely Doorstop Family Portrait Shoot

Doorstep family portraits, they are a thing! During this time of lockdown many of us get to spend more time with our immediate family in our own homes. At the same time many close relatives who don't live in the same home really miss their family whether they be children, grandchildren or parents. So I thought it would be a good idea to look into some family socially distanced family shoots that would at least allow people to share some nice photos during lockdown with the family or friends they miss during this time.

Jo and Tarik were quite happy to pose for me on their front door steps with Idris, the new addition to their family. We made the most of the recent good weather and arranged to meet a time to meet outside their beautiful Glasgow home. As you can tell from the photos, Idris didn't mind either! He even gave me a couple of smiles!

If you would like to have some portraits taken during this uncertain time, then why don't you drop me a line here. I look forward to hearing from you!

Glencoe Elopement

Romantic Glencoe Elopement

Trinity and Evan didn't want to have their elopement shoot just anywhere - so when I suggested Glencoe, I could tell they were getting excited! Trinity and Evan had their official wedding in their native Australia. Following their registry office wedding, went traveling to Europe and the UK. The plan was to mark their elopement at the end with a photoshoot in the Scottish Highlands.

We left Glasgow in the morning, heading out West towards Loch Lomond. After a brief stop we carried on to Loch Awe and the ruins of Kilchurn Castle. I love this place with its dramatic castle ruins which would form the perfect backdrop in an Outlander episode.

From Loch Awe we made our way up to Rannoch Moor, said hello to a few deer near the Kingshouse Hotel and then carried on to the majestic Glen Etive, where Skyfall was filmed, and Glencoe. We finished off the day with a cold beer at the Oban Inn.

When I look back at these images, I realise just how lucky I am to live in Scotland, with its beautiful and breathtaking scenery. If you enjoyed reading about Trinity's and Evans elopement adventure, and if you would like to discuss your wedding plans with me, why don't you contact me here!
