A Charming Edinburgh City Chambers Wedding 1

A Charming Edinburgh City Chambers Wedding

So last Sunday Ali and Alex celebrated their incredibly beautiful wedding at Edinburgh City Chambers. For Ali and Alex it was important to celebrate their big day in the city where they had met. Ali and Alex had both met at university in the city, and have since made it their home.

An Edinburgh City Chambers Wedding

Ali and Alex wanted to have a relatively small and modest celebration on their big day. The spectacular wedding cake was created by Alex' sister. The table decorations and flowers were put together by Ali with the help of her family and friends. This meant that Ali and Alex could really focus on the things that really mattered to them on the day, such as the music which was provided by the amazing Jim Jam Ceilidh Band.

A Lovely Small Cottiers Wedding 2

A Lovely Small Cottiers Wedding

Barbara and NaKoma decided to have a small, intimate wedding at Cottiers in Glasgow's West End. They are a very quiet couple who didn't really fancy an extravagant wedding. Nevertheless they wanted to celebrate their commitment to each other with their closest family and friends.

A Lovely Small Cottiers Wedding

Cottiers with its informal style really was the natural choice for Barbara and Nakoma. They both live in the West End of Glasgow and knew the venue well. The attentive staff at the venue made them feel very welcome and contributed to the warm and cosy atmosphere of the wedding.

The low-key humanist ceremony was followed by a reception with drinks, canapes and then a wedding breakfast with some very touching speeches.

In between the more formal proceedings of the day, I managed to spend a little bit of time with the bride and groom for a lovely little couple shoot in the West End.

The evening was finished by the cutting of the cake (this was made by my friend Edwina from Rosewood Cakes), and plenty of dancing!
